WAKAF PESANTREN SEBAGAI INSTRUMEN PEMBERDAYAAN DAN PENINGKATAN KEMANDIRIAN EKONOMI

Abstract

Waqf as an instrument of faith-based economic empowerment has multidimensional benefits. The classic problem that still dominates the Pesantren community is the mismanagement of waqf assets. This research uses a qualitative method by observing the condition of waqf assets in the Bekasi Pesantren area. This study found that most waqifs and nazhirs are merely carrying out Islamic religious teachings to give alms through waqf. Economic empowerment and independence in Pesantren institutions that have waqf land assets have not yet reached expectations
